Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) machines use intense pulse light to enter the hair follicle. With a series of sessions over time you will experience permanent hair reduction.   Your trained therapist will work in conjunction with you on a series of IPL hair removal sessions (5 – 8, sometimes less or more dependant on your hair type) . During the IPL treatment a small hand piece will be used on your skin with flashes of light; a cooling spray, air or gel may also be applied. This is best done outside of the summer period as pigmented skin ( from tanning) is less receptive.  People describe the procedure as a little uncomfortable, with a tingling or stinging sensation.

IPL Treatments can be repeated at monthly intervals at Erban Spa Dunedin.
